Pre-legislative public consultation on Bilingual Services

At its meeting on 14 July 2011, the Assembly Commission agreed to introduce new legislation to clarify the duties of the National Assembly and of the Assembly Commission in relation to the provision of bilingual services on a sound statutory footing, and to bring forward a new Bilingual Services Scheme under the proposed legislative framework.

The Assembly Commission undertook a public consultation on the (Draft) National Assembly for Wales (Official Languages) Bill and draft Bilingual Services Scheme between August-October 2011.
