About the Service
The Research Service provides expert and impartial research and information to support Assembly Members and committees in fulfilling the scrutiny, legislative and representative functions of the National Assembly for Wales.
The Research Service consists of:
three research teams providing specialist advice on specific areas of policy
a research team providing finance and statistical information
a research team providing advice on the Assembly, the constitution, UK and EU legislation, elections and referendums
a Library providing a full range of reference and information services
an EU Office in Brussels providing advice, information and assistance on EU issues and support with visit programmes.
You can access a range of research briefings and information produced by the Research Service from this website. Our publications are primarily aimed at Assembly Members, and may also be of interest to external organisations and individuals.
Providing an effective research service requires us to have access to up-to-date information from external organisations and individuals with knowledge and expertise in relevant subject areas.
