PAC(3)-CE&TFR-Coastal Erosion and Tidal Flooding Risks in Wales

Terms of reference for the inquiry

On the basis of the report of the Auditor General for Wales on coastal erosion and tidal flooding risks in Wales, the Public Accounts Committee has agreed to conduct an inquiry.

The inquiry will build on the AGW’s report by further investigating the progress the Welsh Government has made since the fieldwork for the AGW’s report was completed in August 2008.

The inquiry will include consideration of:

• The level of engagement citizens have had with the New Approaches Programme

• The capacity that exists to deliver the Welsh Government’s New Approaches Programme at both national and local levels

• How the objectives of the New Approaches Programme have been defined and communicated by the Welsh Government

• The measures that are in place to monitor progress towards meeting the objectives of the New Approaches Programme
