Inquiry into Parenting Action Plan

Response From Carmarthenshire Women and Children's Services.

Thank you for your recent letter inviting written evidence on the implementation of the Parenting Action Plan. As a key statutory member of the Carmarthenshire Children and Young People's Partnership we have commented on the response co-ordinated via the Local Authority which will have been forwarded to you separately as much of the evidence requested was related to experience of those delivering the service.

However, one sigificant area of action which it would be helpful to address in the immediate future is the provision of parenting support/training programmes for parents of teenagers and older age young people, especially those who are experiencing behaviour problems.
