House Committee (May 1999 - April 2003)

The Assembly has delegated responsibility for matters relating to services for Members to the House Committee including:

• services, facilities and accommodation;
• Members’ allowances; and
• related matters that support the operation of the Assembly.

It is the only committee to which the Assembly has delegated executive powers.

The National Assembly's Standing Order 36 provides full details of the Committee's remit.

Membership of the Committee reflects, as far as possible, the balance of the political groups in the Assembly.
