Policy Review: Science Policy

Terms of reference

To consider a science policy in Wales which more effectively supports the development of a knowledge based economy. In particular:

1. the current range of research and development carried out in Wales in both public and private sectors.
2. ways in which it can be strengthened and made more effective.
3. Covering likely priorities for science awareness, skills provision, HE excellence, technology transfer and innovation.

and to make recommendations for the development of policy in this area.

The Committee has now completed the information gathering stage of this review and intends to publish a report on 19 September, there will be a Plenary debate on the same date.
