Communities and Culture Committee
As set out in Standing Order 12, the main function of scrutiny committees is to examine within their remit the expenditure, administration and policy of the government and associated public bodies.
The Committee’s remit covers:
- Housing
- Community Safety
- Community Inclusion including Communities First and the Spatial Plan
- Welsh Language, sport and culture

The Committee published its report on Domestic Abuse in Wales on Wednesday 3 December 2008.
The Communities and Culture Committee is undertaking an inquiry into the Promotion of Welsh Arts and Culture on the World Stage, and is calling for those with an interest or expertise in this area to submit written evidence to the Clerk of the Committee to arrive no later than Monday 12 January 2009.
