Rural Development Sub-Committee
The Rural Development Sub-Committee was established on 5 July 2007 and its remit is to scrutinise the Welsh Assembly Government on the Government’s areas of responsibility that the sub-committee considers impact on rural development.
The duration of the sub-committee will be, subject to an annual review of its remit and work by the Sustainability Committee, the duration of the Sustainability Committee.
Standing Order 10.17 states that a sub committee is regulated by the same Standing Orders as the parent committee. The sub committee shall, therefore, meet formally in public (except where the committee decides in formal session to meet in private). Any report produced by the sub committee will be submitted to the Sustainability Committee for approval and, if appropriate, laying before the Assembly.
