Autumn Term 2008
The Committee has decided to:
- take evidence on a Legislative Competence Order to make provision for a legal framework to develop and maintain a network of traffic free shared use paths in Wales;
- undertake an inquiry into the growth of the Welsh economy focusing on economic development strategies and the impact structural funds’ programmes 2000 – 2006 have had on the Welsh economy;
- undertake a short inquiry into the Teacher Workload Agreement.
The Committee will also take forward its consideration of petitions:
- Fuel Prices petition - a rapporteur group to take evidence and report its findings to the Committee;
- Pride in Barry petition - a formal Committee hearing to be held in Barry in October to hear from petitioners and key stakeholders.
Support for People with Dyslexia in Wales: Publication of report
The Enterprise and Learning Committee published its report 'Support for People with Dyslexia in Wales' on Wednesday, 16 July 2008. The report can be accessed via the Committee's Reports webpage
The Committee also produced a plain English leaflet summarising the findings of the Dyslexia Rapporteur Group
