Public Consultation – Poverty and Deprivation in Rural Wales
The Rural Development Sub-Committee is undertaking a scrutiny inquiry into poverty and deprivation in rural Wales. The terms of reference for the inquiry are:
- To examine issues relating to poverty and deprivation in rural Wales; and
- To scrutinise the relevance and effectiveness of Welsh Assembly Government policy in this area.
The Sub-Committee’s work will focus on poverty and deprivation issues for the following groups:
- Children and young people
- The economically active
- The economically inactive
- Older people.
