About the Measure

A Measure of the National Assembly for Wales to make provision about the travel of persons receiving primary, secondary or further education or training to and from schools or other places where they receive it; and for connected purposes.

Stage 1

Consideration and agreement of the general principles of the Measure:

Plenary Stage 1 debate
The Assembly agreed to the general principles of the Measure after the Stage 1 debate in plenary on 29 April 2008.

Stage 2

Detailed consideration of the Measure and any amendments tabled by a committee of Assembly Members:

Stage 2 commenced on 30 April 2008. Details of tabled amendments are available at: Stage 2 Amendments.

Stage 3

Detailed consideration in Plenary of the Measure and any selected amendments:

Stage 3 consideration will take place in plenary on 30 September 2008 to consider amendments to the proposed Measure (sections 1-25, schedule 1, section 26, schedule 2, sections 27-29). The Explanatory Memorandum has also been revised after Stage 2.

The deadline for tabling amendments has now passed.
