Committee of the Whole Assembly
The committee, comprised of all Assembly Member and chaired by the Presiding Officer, was established on 30th January 2008. Its remit was to participate in discussions with Vice President Wallstrom* on matters relating to Europe. The Committee ceased to exist after its meeting on 31st January 2008.
* Margot Wallström is the current European Commissioner for Inter-institutional Relations and Communication Strategy. She is also the first of five vice-presidents of the 27 member Barroso Commission.
