These are short briefings on a variety of subjects likely to be of interest to Assembly Members. Each brief provides a short introduction to the subject as well as links to key documents.
Topic briefs available from the Members' Research Service

QuickGuides available from the Members' Research Service
In addition to the research, information and Library services provided to individual Members and to the scrutiny and legislation committees of the Assembly, Members' Research Service also prepares research papers for the benefit of all Assembly Members and their staff. These cover topics of current interest within the Assembly or provide regular statistical briefing on selected subjects. They aim to be politically impartial and contain factual information and analysis as well as a range of opinions on each subject covered.
A list of recently-released research papers can be found below. All papers produced from 2004 onwards can be accessed, by subject, from the following pages:
Members’ Research Service briefings are compiled for the benefit of Assembly Members and their support staff. We welcome comments on our briefings; these should be sent to the Members’ Research Service, National Assembly for Wales, Cardiff CF99 1NA or e-mailed to MembersLibrary@wales.gsi.gov.uk.
Users requiring a file in an alternative format to that which is currently available on this website should contact us. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
