About the Proposed Measure
The purpose of this Measure is to make statutory provision, through a legislative framework, for the development and promotion of the Welsh red meat industry.
Current Stage
The Measure was passed by the Assembly at Stage 4 on 10 March 2010. An explanation of the various stages of Measures can be found in the Guide to Assembly Measures.

The National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Agriculture and Rural Development) Order 2008 (relating to the Welsh Red Meat Industry) was considered by the Proposed Welsh Red Meat Industry LCO Committee which reported on 10 December 2008.
