To make provision about arrangements for redress in relation to liability in tort in connection with services provided as part of the health service in Wales; and for connected purposes.

Latest News

Following agreement by the National Assembly of the text of the proposed Measure, it received Royal Approval on 9 July 2008. The proposed Measure is now a Measure of the National Assembly (a Welsh law).

The Committee was established on 4 July 2007 to consider and report on the general principles of the Proposed Measure (Stage 1). The Committee ceased to exist when the Measure was passed by the Assembly on 6 May 2008.

Plenary Stage 1 debate
The Assembly agreed to the general principles of the Measure after the Stage 1 debate in plenary on 29 January 2008.
