Outline of proposed Order

The proposed Order would add a matter under field 9 of schedule 5 of the Government of Wales Act 2006, about and in connection with the provision of community midwifery services.

Policy Objectives of the Proposed Order

The purpose of the Order is to allow the National Assembly for Wales to legislate about and in connection with the provision of community midwifery services.  In particular, the Order would allow the National Assembly for Wales to pass a Measure to ensure the safety of community-based midwives.
