Policy Objectives of the Proposed Order
This proposed draft LCO will promote breastfeeding and its health benefits by making it easier for mothers to breastfeed in public. It will make it an offence to prevent or stop mothers breastfeeding in public.
This is vital to ensure that there are no social barriers towards breastfeeding, and the massive health benefits that the child receives.
