South East Wales Regional Committee (July 1999 - April 2003)

Welcome to the South East Wales Regional Committee Web Pages from Owen John Thomas, A.M. Chair The National Assembly for Wales established four regional committees in 1999. The South East Wales Regional Committee covers Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Torfaen and the Vale of Glamorgan. The role of the regional committees is to advise the National Assembly on:
- matters affecting the regions;
- the effect of Assembly policies in those regions; and
- the work of public bodies in the regions.
