Health, Wellbeing & Local Government Committee
The Health, Wellbeing and Local Government Committee is one of four subject-based scrutiny Committees established by the National Assembly. The Committees have the "power within their remit to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the government and associated public bodies” (Standing Order 12). The Committee may invite individuals and organisations to appear before it to give evidence, particularly when carrying out Scrutiny Inquiries. This note provides further background information to those invited to give evidence to the Committee.

Template
Name of Committee - (Use Heading 1)
Purpose - (use heading 3)
[This section should include an explanation of why the paper is being presented to this particular meeting and say what the Committee is being asked to do]
Background- (use heading 3)
[The opportunity to provide more detailed information that the committee might need in order to fully understand the subject, with references to annexes where appropriate. While committee papers must at all times be kept short, the aim should be for them to be self-explanatory, free-standing documents wherever possible. References to other documents which are not readily available to the committee or the wider public via the intranet or internet should be avoided.]
Summary / Recommendations- (use heading 3)
[This section should include a concise summary of the contents of the paper, or recommendations for the action that the committee needs to take, or both.
