About the Order

The Legislative Competence Order would extend the field of competence in relation to environmental protection and waste management. The proposed LCO is a revised version of an LCO originally laid before the National Assembly in June 2007. (PDF, 31KB)

Latest News

Following agreement by the National Assembly and both Houses of Parliament of the text of the Draft Order, the Order was made by Her Majesty in Council on 10 February 2010. The Assembly is now able to make Measures (laws) under the Matters listed in the Order.
