Policy Objectives of the Proposed Measure

A Measure to provide for and in connection with, the provision of social care services for disabled and formerly looked after young persons up to the age of 25.

The purpose of the Measure is to provide further support for disabled and formerly looked after young persons in order that they can more easily access education, training or employment. Further social care provision will also allow for more opportunities and life chances for the aforementioned young persons as leisure and other social activities would be more accessible.

Support received/Consultation

After some limited consultation, the proposal has received support from several charitable organisations including Learning Disability Wales and Contact a Family Wales.
