P-03-101 - North Wales Regional Waste Plans First Review
Petition Received: 29 January 2008
Lead Petitioner: Sam Rex
Number of Petitioners: 61
Petition Wording:
'We the undersigned representatives of TCC request the Welsh Assembly Government to:
- Recognise that the consultation of the North Wales Regional Waste Plan First Review was flawed in both process and content (e.g. the lack of consideration given to waste reduction), as explained in TCC's formal response to the consultation, and therefore cannot be considered representative of the view of the people of North Wales.
- Extend the consultation period in order for the public , councillors and other interested groups to develop considered responses to the Plans.
- Ensure that the rights of the people of North Wales are preserved under the formal planning system, so that Planning Applications for waste facilities are not given approval by use of the Certificate of Lawfulness (CLOPUD) procedure.
- Develop best practice guidelines for consultation procedures to be used by all companies companies that are commissioned to undertake consultation excersises by the Welsh Assembly Government.
