Forum
The National Assembly for Wales regularly holds reviews of different parts of its areas of responsibility. This is usually done through Committee business, and this site provides an opportunity for the public to contribute to these reviews through discussion forums. Please note that you need to register to contribute to forums.
Live forums will have a link from the home page. Each forum will have a general introduction page detailing its purpose and remit. If the topic is still active, the topics that users can respond to will be listed on the introduction page, and if the topic has a time limit, the close date will be displayed. Messages in closed topics can still be viewed, but no further comments can be added.
Moderation
All comments posted to the discussion forums will be pre-moderated by staff at the National Assembly for Wales, which means that posted comments will not appear instantly on the site. Moderation will take place between 9am – 5pm on Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Any postings that the moderator thinks break the rules as set out in our terms and conditions will not be posted. An email will be sent to the user explaining why the posting has been rejected.
Language
All forums and topics will be bilingual, and users can post their comments either in English or Welsh to the appropriate site. Please note that responses will not be translated, and English comments on the Welsh site and vice versa may be moved by the moderator to the correct forum. The total response counts will include the total number of responses received in both English and Welsh. The alternative language version of the site can be accessed by using the tab on the left hand navigation pane.
Register
You will need to register and login to the website before you can post a response to a topic. This can either be done by following the links within the forum pages, or by selecting the My Details links at the top of the page. Please note that this link will not return users to the selected forum upon completion.
The website has been developed to support a large number of browsers and high accessibility standards. As such, by selecting the view more of a response to a topic option, the topic will be opened but users will be returned to the top of the page. Users will therefore need to scroll down to view the full response.
