The National Assembly Commissioner for Standards is an independent person appointed by the Assembly. The Commissioner provides advice and assistance on any matters of principle relating to the conduct of Assembly Members, and is an independent investigator of complaints that Members of the Assembly have breached any Code, Protocol or resolution of the Assembly.
The Commissioner is committed to:
- ·Building a robust Standards regime within the National Assembly;
- ·Working with all Assembly Members on all matters relating to Standards; and
- ·Ensuring openness and transparency in the 'Standards' process.
