Biography

Nerys Evans has been elected as an Assembly Member for Mid and West Wales. Nerys was born in Llangain, near Carmarthen in 1980 and lives near her hometown. Nerys attended Manchester and Cardiff Universities.

She is Plaid's Education spokesperson and is chair of the cross party groups on Epilepsy and Broadband in rural Wales, and sits on the Assembly's Enterprise and Learning committee. She is also former Chair of the Broadcasting Committee. Her political interests include constitutional affairs, rural issues and workers rights.
