Biography

Carl Sargeant was first elected to the Assembly in 2003. He was re-elected in 2007 and was appointed Chief Whip and Deputy Business Manager. He is also a former Chair of the North Wales Regional Committee. In the first Assembly, he sat on the Enterprise, Innovation and Networks subject Committee and was a member of the Railway, Infrastructure and Passenger Committee. He was also a member of the Assembly’s Audit Committee.
