Trish Law was elected to the Assembly via a by-election on 29 June 2006. Following her election, the Assembly became the first UK legislature to have a female majority of representatives. She is also the only Independent Member in the National Assembly for Wales. Trish was re-elected as an Independent Member in the 2007 elections. She currently sits on the Scrutiny of the First Minister Committee and her interests include health, education, social services, community safety and housing.
