Hello my name is Carwyn Jones and I’m the Assembly Member for Bridgend. I was born in 1967. I live in Bridgend and I am married with two children. I went to Brynteg Comprehensive School in Bridgend, Aberystwyth University and The Inns of Court School of Law in London. Before I came to the Assembly I was a barrister working mainly in the criminal and family courts in a private practise. I was elected to the Assembly in 1999. I’ve been in the cabinet for seven years firstly as Minister for Rural Affairs then Minister for Environment Planning and Countryside, Minister for Open Government and I’m now the Assembly Government Council General and Leader of the House.
