Biography

Angela Burns was elected to the National Assembly for Wales in May 2007. She is Shadow Minister for the Environment and Planning and is also the Chair of the Finance Committee which is one of the major scrutiny committees of the Assembly. She has also held the positions of Shadow Minister for Finance and Shadow Minister for Transport and Regeneration. Angela is also a member of both the Children and Young People Committee and the Sustainability Committee. Angela’s political interests lie in the economy, health, schools, the rural community and in ensuring that while not all are born with the same chances in life, all have access to those chances throughout life.
