Biography

Sandy Mewies was first elected to the Assembly in May 2003 and was re-elected in 2007. She has chaired the Assembly's European and External Affairs Committee from the start and has served as a member of the Social Justice and Regeneration Committee, the Environment, Planning and Countryside Committee and north Wales Regional Committees. As well as currently chairing the European Committee she sits on the Enterprise and Learning Committee and Legislation 2 Committee.
