Biography

Irene James was first elected to the Assembly in May 2003. She currently serves on the SO25: Special Assembly Procedure Committee, the Health, Wellbeing and Local Government Committee and the Public Accounts Committee. Irene is a member of the Transport and General Workers Union. Her main political interests include education, the NHS and job creation.
