National Assembly for Wales

Video Biography - Text Version | Nick Bourne AM

Hello, I am Nick Bourne and I am the Assembly Member for Mid & West Wales, representing the Welsh Conservatives.

I have been representing my area since 1999 and I lead the Welsh Conservative Group in the Assembly.

My interests, other than politics are walking, particularly in the Cambrian Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, and I am also very interested in sport and follow Welsh rugby.  I also play squash, tennis and badminton. I am also very keen on following cricket.

I travel up and down Wales a massive amount, not just for my job but also from interest, and I am a very keen traveller outside of Wales too.

My political interests include public services, especially health and education, and obviously I take a particular interest in the constitution.

I am very proud to lead the Welsh Conservative Group in the Assembly, and I think we have been a very active Group and I think we have contributed massively to devolution and to policy development here in Wales.
