Alun Davies was elected to the Assembly in May 2007. Alun has also enjoyed a successful career in public and corporate affairs. Since being elected to the National Assembly Alun has quickly established himself; he has been appointed Chair of the Rural Development sub Committee and was chair of the Broadcasting Committee. He is also a member of the Finance Committee, Subordinate Legislation Committee, Legislation Committee No. 5 and the Sustainability Committee. He has gained a reputation for public speaking and campaigning on local and national issues, from the availability of broadband and access to public transport, to poverty, deprivation and the improvement of public services.
