Biography

Mick Bates was elected to the Assembly in 1999 and was subsequently re-elected in 2003 and 2007.Mick is Chair and founding member of the cross party National Assembly Sustainable Energy Group (NASEG) which continues to grow and gain influence and recognition. The group promotes the development of a clean, green, sustainable energy industry in Wales that will lead the way for Britain and the rest of the world. Since 2007 Mick has also been Chair of the National Assembly Sustainability Committee and he currently sits on Legislation Committee No.5.
