Formerly a Senior Councillor in Newport. She has been a member of the Broadcasting Council for Wales, a Director of Tourism South and West Wales, a member of the Sports Council for Wales and was the Welsh Commissioner on the Museums and Galleries Commission. Currently she is Chair of the Board of the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea. She is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Wales College Newport.
