Biography

Born in 1955 in Sunderland, she moved to Wales in 1990 and has since learnt Welsh. Until being elected as an Assembly Member she was a Denbighshire County Councillor (1995-99). Elected to Rhuthun Town Council in 1993, Janet was Mayor of Rhuthun twice (1998-2000). A former teacher and youth worker, she has been a Director on the Board of Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council.
