Biography

Janice Gregory was elected to the Assembly in May 1999 and was re-elected in 2003 and 2007. She has been the Chair of the Social Justice and Regeneration Committee and the South Wales West Regional Committee. She is also a former Labour Assembly Group Whip. In 2008, she was elected to serve as Chair of the Labour Group in the National Assembly for Wales. Janice is the Chair of the Communities and Culture Committee and also sits on the Scrutiny of the First Minister Committee and Legislation Committee No. 3. Her political interests include children, jobs, health, regeneration and tackling poverty.
