Minister for the Environment, Sustainability and Housing

Biography

Jane Davidson was elected to the Assembly in 1999. Jane was Deputy Presiding Officer before being appointed to the Cabinet of the Welsh Government in 2000 as Minister for Education, Lifelong Learning & Skills. In May 2007, she was appointed Minister for Sustainability and Rural Development. When the coalition cabinet was agreed with Plaid Cymru in July 2007, she became instead Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing. Jane has many political interests but her main interest is the environment.
