Chris Franks was elected to the Assembly in 2007. Chris is committed to promoting Cardiff as an international capital and to regenerating the valleys. The promotion of public transport is a priority, especially linking the valleys with Cardiff. His political interests include working to enhance the countryside to encourage wild life and to improve habitats for endangered species. Chris is a member of the All Party Group on Strokes. He is committed to improving services for stroke survivors and their families. Chris is Plaid Cymru’s Chief Whip and is a member of the Assembly Commission. He also sits on the Finance Committee and the Committee on Standards of Conduct.
