Michael German was elected to the Assembly in 1999 and was re-elected in 2003 and 2007. He was the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats from 1999 to 2008. Mike's political interests include skills development in small and large companies in Wales, constitutional affairs and overseas development. He currently chairs Legislation Committee No 4 and sits on the Public Accounts Committee, the European and External Affairs Committee, the Petitions Committee, and the Subordinate Legislation Committee. He is a member of the Welsh Branch Executive of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.
