Biography

Dai Lloyd AM is an Assembly Member for the South Wales West region and was first elected in 1999. He was born in Tywyn, Gwynedd in 1956 and was educated in Ysgol Llambed and the Wales Medical School, Cardiff University. Before his election, he worked as a GP and still practices once a week. He is a former Swansea County Councillor and a member of Plaid's National Executive Committee. His main political interests are in local government, finance and health. Dai speaks Welsh and English. He enjoys rugby, football, music and geography.
