Video Biography – Text Version | Peter Black AM
My name is Peter Black and I’m the Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member for South Wales West. I am currently the spokesperson for my party on Social Justice, Housing, Communities, Welsh Language, Culture and Sport which is quite a huge brief but one I’m starting to master.
Previously to that I was the chair of the Education, Life Long Learning and Skills Committee in the Second Assembly and I worked with that Committee producing some extensive reports on special educational needs and on school transport. I live in Swansea with my wife and I am a graduate of Swansea University. I’m also a member of Swansea City Council having been a member since 1984.
My main interests are housing but I also have extensive interest in a whole range of policy areas. I really enjoy being an Assembly Member and working here with other people, trying to get things done for Wales.
