Biography

Val Lloyd was elected to the Assembly in the Assembly's first By-Election on 27 September 2001. She was Chair of the South West Wales Regional Committee in the First Assembly and of the Smoking in Public Places Committee in the Second Assembly. She is currently the Chair of the Petitions Committee and Legislation Committee No. 2. She also sits on the Health, Wellbeing and Local Government Committee. As a former nurse, Val is a leading advocate for extra investment in the NHS.
