Senedd Opening Hours:

Weekdays - term time

Monday and Friday 8.00am - 6.00pm

Tuesday to Thursday 8.00am - 8.00pm

Weekdays - recess

Monday to Friday: 9.30am - 6.00pm)

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays

Easter to September: 10.30am – 6.00pm

October to Easter: 10.30am - 4.30pm

(Please note that last admission is 30 minutes before closing).

Access

Members of the public can access the Senedd either by using the steps and ramps on the plinth at the front of the building or by means of the lift located to the side, adjacent to the Wales Millennium Centre. Both routes bring visitors to the top of the plinth, the entrance level. Once visitors have entered the Senedd, members of the security and ushering staff will be available to provide assistance as required. Visitors requiring help with mobility may wish to use the wheelchairs provided for public use in the building.

Cloakroom

There is a cloakroom facility for public use in the scanner area on Assembly sitting days.

Lifts

There are lifts and stair access to all the public areas of the Senedd.

Seating

There is seating available for the public in the Neuadd and in the Oriel.

Access to the public galleries to listen and to view plenary and committee meetings

Although it is preferable to book seats for the public galleries in advance, to avoid disappointment, this is not always necessary and visitors wishing to gain access on the day can enquire at the Reception desk to find out whether there are seats available.

Facilities for people with young children

There is pram / pushchair access to all the public areas. Baby changing facilities are available in the Neuadd. There is a parent and child room which contains toys and other facilities for public use in the Neuadd.

Refreshments

There is a café serving hot and cold drinks and light snacks in the Oriel; this is open as follows:

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10.00am and 4.30pm
Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10.00am and 5.30pm
Saturdays and Sundays (summer)between 10.30am and 5.30pm.
Saturdays and Sundays (winter)between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

Information

Information about Assembly proceedings, Assembly Members and the Senedd is available to the public on the plasma screens and information pods in the Neuadd and in the Oriel. Staff are on-hand to provide information and to answer questions; a range of publications is also available.

Public lavatories

There are public lavatories in the Neuadd and a lavatory equipped with special facilities, including a hoist in the Neuadd.
