Background
The Senedd opened its doors to the public for the first time on the 7 of February 2006. The architect Richard Rogers had a vision that this building would reflect the new and developing democracy we have here in Wales, and as such he would create an open space that would invite the public to be a part of the democratic process. The final cost of the building was around £67million and it is hoped that it will have an impact both socially and culturally here in Wales.
The virtual tour was produced by BBC Wales before the official opening of the Senedd on St. David’s Day 2006. You can find out more about the Senedd on BBC Online by following this link: www.bbc.co.uk/wales/southeast/sites/assembly/
