Sustainability

The Senedd has already won an award for sustainable design and construction, which makes the best use of natural light and ventillation. The Building Research Establishment (BREAM) award recognised the 'green' principles within its design, and the low environmental impact that the building has achieved through the use of renewable and low energy solutions to construct, heat and maintain the building. One of the most striking environmental features is the cowl on top of roof which turns with the wind and ventillates the Siambr below.
