Using Senedd.tv
Senedd.tv requires Adobe Flash Player version 9 and above to work. The full screen mode for flash videos requires at least v9.0.115. You can download the Flash Player for free by visiting the Adobe website.
Picture and audio quality
We stream live and archive meetings in three levels (High, Medium and Low). You can choose which level based on the type and quality of your internet connection:
High (Hi)200Kb/s - broadband only
Medium (Med)64Kb/s - broadband only
Low (Lo)32Kb/s - dial-up broadband
You can also listen to an audio-only feed of proceedings (Audio) at 32kb/s, which is suitable for both dial-up and broadband connections.
The homepage
During the Assembly term, the main window displays how many meetings are being transmitted live. The Assembly’s business days are currently Monday afternoon to Thursday afternoon. When there are no live transmissions, two current video highlights will be displayed. The recent highlights scroll bar under the main window contains recent highlight videos, including news and promotional videos, and the Recent Meetings section at the foot of the page lists the five most recent Plenary or Committee meetings.
Navigating Archive Material
There are two ways of choosing which point of an archive video you would like to view:
For archived Plenary and Committee meetings, you can click on the agenda items listed below the screen to jump to a specific point in the meeting;
All videos have a scroll bar running across the bottom of the screen. Click on the pointer and drag it along the bar to your chosen point in the video, using the timer as a guide.
Share and embed footage
Each video has its own unique address (URL). You can share this address by copying and pasting the contents of the URL field, which can be found beneath the scroll bar.
You can also embed any archived video on Senedd.tv onto your own web page or site by copying the code found in the Embed field. You can embed entire videos or embed by agenda item. For further information or assistance on embedding our material, please contact us using our online form or send an e-mail to assembly.website@wales.gov.uk.
